Every problem page in Backtest says what happened and what to do next. Here is each one in one place.
Your chart file
If your file won't open, the page shows the fix, or you can use the practice chart. See Your chart file won't open for the export steps.
The test stopped
The test stopped means the device ran out of room for it, or something went wrong on it. Your settings are kept. Choose Try again, or Test fewer dates. A computer can test more than a phone.
Too long for this device
A phone can test up to 400,000 candles, which is up to 3 months of 15-second candles. A computer can test four times as many. A longer test is refused, never cut short. Choose the shorter dates offered, or test on a computer.
Shorter than the warm-up
Trades start once the Bot's own warm-up is behind them: by default, the first 30 days of your file. A file no longer than that has no days left to test, so export more history. If the page says there are no candles in your dates, choose dates your file covers, after its warm-up.
No trades
Your results show the closest setups and the rule that stopped each. In Replay, Why no trade here? shows what your rules did on any candle. To change what counts, choose Change a rule.
Different from another tester
Other platforms' strategy testers fill orders differently. Backtest fills them the Bot's way: a target fills only if price trades through it, and a candle touching both stop and target counts as the stop. See Your backtest results.
Replay on another device
Your results show on any device, but the chart file stays on the device where you added it. Open Replay there, or add the file on this device. Tests on the practice chart replay anywhere.
A result is missing
Your last 50 results for each strategy are kept, plus every one you pin. Older unpinned results are removed. Pin a result to keep it for good. A result you deleted, or one whose strategy you deleted, is gone from My backtests.
Payment did not go through
Nothing is charged unless the payment page completes. Choose Try again when you're ready, or keep using the practice chart for free. If you already have a plan, change it in Settings, where you see the exact amount first.
AI allowance used up
Describing a strategy in words uses your monthly AI allowance. When it's used, the page says so. Building from blocks doesn't use it, so choose Build it from blocks, or see the plans.
Still stuck
For a file that won't read, choose Send us a sample, and we reply in Wildflower. For anything else, see Getting help from a person.
