What Wildflower is, in plain English

Wildflower has three parts: the Indicator, Backtest and the Bot. What each one does, and what always stays in your hands.

Updated 12 October 2026 · 2 minute read

Wildflower turns your own trading rules into tools you can use. It has three parts. Use one, two or all three.

The Indicator

Describe the indicator you trade by, in plain English. Wildflower builds it, shows it on a chart, and gives you a script to add to TradingView.

Backtest

Test a strategy on past prices. See every trade it would have taken. Then replay the chart candle by candle and watch each trade happen.

The Bot

The Bot trades your strategy on your own futures broker account, from your own computer. You connect a broker, build a strategy, put it on an account, and switch the account on. From then on, the Bot watches your markets and places the orders for you.

While an account is on, the Bot:

  • Watches your markets
  • Places each entry with its stop and target, and manages the exit
  • Writes down every decision, including each time it chose not to trade
  • Re-runs the day as a backtest after the market closes, and shows how closely the two matched

A demo account for trying the Bot with practice money is coming. It will come with the Bot plan.

What stays yours

  • The rules. You write them. Wildflower never picks a number for you.
  • Your money. Your money, positions and market data stay with your broker. Wildflower is not a broker. It sends orders and reads the fills back.
  • Every choice. Which strategy runs and where, your risk, your trading hours, your daily limits.
  • The controls. Every account has a switch, a pause and a stop.

Trading futures carries risk, and you can lose money.

What can go wrong

Nothing trades until you switch an account on, so a quiet first day is normal. If an account is on and nothing has happened, open Activity and choose the Everything else tab. It says why.
