You connect a broker account you already have on the Connections page. Indicator and Backtest then use its prices. The Bot only trades on an account when you switch the Bot on for it, on that account's own page.
What Wildflower connects to
- ProjectX, the platform Topstep runs on
- Rithmic, both Rithmic's own systems and the firms that run on it
A real broker account needs the Bot plan for the Bot to trade it. The demo account is not on Connections. It is coming, in Bot > My accounts.
Your computer comes first
Your broker sign-in lives on your own computer, never on our servers. So set up the Wildflower desktop agent first. It is the Wildflower app that runs on your computer. Find it in Bot settings, under Desktop agent. If it isn't set up, the connect panel says so and points you there.
How to connect one
- Open Connections and choose Add a broker.
- Choose the broker.
- Enter the sign-in that broker asks for. Your browser locks it with a key only your computer holds, before anything is sent.
- Your computer opens the sign-in, logs in to the broker, and finds the accounts behind that login. They appear on the Connections page, grouped under the connection that found them.
We never see your sign-in. Our servers get only the locked copy, and then the list of account names and numbers your computer found.
Every account you connect arrives switched off.
What each account row shows
Under the account's name, you see the strategy it runs and the market it trades. If saving settings on that account would also change other accounts, the row names them. Accounts linked to a firm also show whose rules they are measured against.
Each account row ends with Switch the Bot on or off. It opens that account's page in the Bot, where the switch is. Connections itself has no Bot switch. A connection row keeps its own switch, which turns the broker sign-in on or off.
Where your sign-in is kept
It stays on your computer, locked to your Windows account there. We don't hold it. You enter it once per connection, here or on that computer. It covers every account under that login, including ones added later. Where your broker sign-in lives explains more, including what happens if you change computers.
Safety checks before live trading
Before Wildflower switches on live trading through a broker, it checks the connection: that fills come back, that a stop and target can be placed and moved, and that a refused order shows up. If a check hasn't passed, the account won't switch on, and its page says why. If an account won't switch on, look there first.
What can go wrong
- A sign-in works on your firm's site but not here. It may be the wrong kind. Each broker article says which kind you need.
- One login finds more accounts than your plan covers. The Bot plan includes 10 connected accounts. Each 5 more costs $25 a month, or $225 a year on a yearly plan. Your demo never counts. The covered accounts connect, and the rest are named on screen. Add accounts to your plan and they connect the same way.
- You remove an account. Its trade history stays. Accounts are archived, never erased.
