A trade at my broker is not showing in Wildflower

A trade isn't showing in Wildflower? Why that can happen, how long to wait for it to appear, and what to do if it still hasn't shown up.

Updated 12 October 2026 · 2 minute read

Your broker is the source of truth. Wildflower checks its own record against your broker's, rather than assuming its own is right.

Give it a few minutes first

Wildflower asks your broker for your positions at regular intervals, and a broker can report a fill a little after it happened. A gap of a couple of minutes is normal, not a fault.

Where a mismatch shows

If your broker has a trade that Wildflower has not matched to one of its own, a notice appears on the Dashboard, so the figures never quietly disagree. A check also runs on its own each weeknight. It compares the stop and target orders Wildflower holds on record with your broker's, and clears any your broker has already cancelled.

The likeliest causes

  • You placed the trade yourself at your broker, outside Wildflower. It is at the broker, and Wildflower did not open it.
  • The broker reported the fill late.
  • Your computer was offline for that account when the fill arrived.

What overwrites what

When fill details arrive from your broker, they replace any figure Wildflower estimated from the candle. It never works the other way round.

If it persists

Note your broker's own ID for the trade and the time it happened, then see Getting help. Those two things make it quick to find.

What can go wrong

Removing a broker account archives it rather than deleting it, so its trades stay in your history. If a trade seems to have gone with an account, it has not.
